Accellera Announces Award For Technical Achievement & Contributions To Its Design Automation Standards
Nominations are due May 14, 2004
NAPA, Calif., May 3, 2004, - Accellera, the electronics industry organization focused on electronic design automation standards, today announced the call for nominations for its first annual Technical Excellence Award. Nominations are requested by May 14, 2004. The award will be presented during the organization's open Member meeting at the Design Automation Conference (DAC), Wednesday, June 9th, 10:00am, room 26A, at the San Diego Convention center.
"Accellera's achievements with respect to electronic design standards are the products of the individuals who work in our technical groups," remarked Dennis Brophy, Chairman of Accellera. "We look forward to recognizing the outstanding achievements of these individuals each year."
There are over 1000 individuals working in Accellera's Technical Subcommittees to produce effective and efficient standards for today's advanced semiconductor designs. Participation comes from Accellera member companies, additional industry contributors and independents. Technical contributors typically have many years of practical experience developing and using design automation tools.

Accellera's Technical Excellence Award will recognize the outstanding achievements of its technical committee members. The organization will select a single contributor to the Accellera standards development process as its 2004 recipient. All Accellera Technical Subcommittee members are eligible for the award.
